Lipoprotein(a) is an emerging risk factor for cardiovascular disease, but there are limited options for lowering elevated levels.AMG145, a fully human monoclonal antibody to a protein synthesized and secreted by the hepatocyte, that binds to the low-density lipoprotein (LDL) receptor, significantly reduced Lp(a) among subjects with hypercholesterolemia receiving statin therapy.
