The Faces of Elevated Lipoprotein(a)
We want to hear from you!
"You don't look sick!"
Help us show the faces of elevated Lipoprotein(a). People with Lp(a) are of all ages, genders, and ethnic backgrounds. Because elevated Lp(a) is present from birth, it leads to cardiovascular disease at an early age (before age 50 in men and before age 60 in women).
Often people with elevated Lp(a) don't get diagnosed because they don't fit the profile of a typical cardiovascular disease patient. A person with elevated Lp(a) can have "normal cholesterol" per the standard cholesterol test and still be at high risk for cardiovascular disease. Tell us your story and help us reveal this hidden risk for premature cardiovascular disease.
